TENNESSEE TITANS VS. KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (3:05 P.M. E.T. on CBS) and GREEN BAY PACKERS VS. SAN FRANCISCO 49ers (6:40 P.M. E. T. on FOX)

The AFC and NFC Championship games feature four excellent teams. The Titans are the Cinderella team (although they are 7 1/2 point underdogs). KC Head Coach Andy Reid experienced more than his share of Playoff heartbreak, but 2020 could be his year. It helps to have Patrick Mahomes as your quarterback.

The Smart Money says the San Francisco 49ers should win this game going way. Aaron Rodgers is 36 years old and prone to mistakes now (and the Parkers are 7 1/2 underdogs, too). But the Packers can be gritty at times. Will this be one of them? I’m going with the Chiefs and Art Scott’s 49ers. Who do you think will win today?

I look back and find it hard to believe the Packers have made it this far with the team they have and the better teams (IMHO) that have fallen by the wayside. I don’t expect them to get past the 49ers, though my predicting skills are not something I would put money on. The 49ers are one of the teams I have always liked, and I hope they return to the Super Bowl. As for the other game, like you I have been very impressed by the Titans thus far, but the Chiefs offense is just too potent to hold down, as Houston discovered last week. Chiefs for the win.

Jeff, you and I share similar options of the Packers. Smoke and mirrors. But Andy Reid has been snake-bitten in the Playoffs for a decade. Can the Chiefs win the Big One to get to the Super Bowl. I’ll be watching…and helping Diane take down the Christmas Tree.

It’s hard to see how the 49ers could have much trouble with the Pack, so I’m predicting an easy win there. The AFC game is much more interesting. It seems logical that the Chiefs are favored, but beware of the Titans and their unstoppable running back Derrick Henry. I love both teams, but I’ll take the Titans and the 7 1//2 points.

Chiefs and 49ers…but, as this season has clearly shown, grit and determination (with a little help from officiating) can change the course of a game. But I’m still going with the favorites in both games.

Deb, same here. But we’ll see if weather plays a role in the Titans vs. Chiefs game. We got 5 inches of snow yesterday and we’re supposed to get another 3 inches today. Temperatures will be in the single digits tonight!

New York got a couple of inches, but the temperatures rose overnight and it was gone by 11 pm. Down here we are expecting one last 80 degree day today before the big cool down (at least the South Florida version), when at least one station is predicting low 60s for a high on Tuesday. (The others have mid-to-upper 60s.) Break out the minks!

Jeff, Big Orange dispensed with the 5 inches that fell yesterday. I’ll fire Big Orange up again today if the predicted snow hits us. But, we have a warming trend–40 degree temps–later this week.

The favorites will win today, I think. It will make for an interesting Super Bowl. We had a dusting of snow night before last, but it didn’t last the day. Be in low 40s today.

Rick, I just snow blowed again, clearing off my driveway, sidewalks, and my neighbors’ sidewalks. The snow is winding down, but there’s about a foot of fresh snow on the ground now.

Nice tackling by the Packers – not. The holes in the line have been huge. I expected a mismatch and this is it.

Rick, I saw a big drop-off in Aaron Rodgers’s production in the 2019 season. He looked like a 36-year-old quarterback. The Packer might consider Drafting a replacement.
