THOR: RAGNAROK

Thor: Ragnakrok blends several MARVEL superheroes: The Hulk, Doctor Strange, and Stan Lee. Thor’s evil sister, Hela, returns from exile to conquer Asgard. Thor doesn’t stand a chance against his big sister, played brilliantly by Cate Blanchett. Thor finds himself on a junkyard planet ruled by the Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum) who keeps the populous happy by offering gladiatorial games for their entertainment. Thor needs to escape and return to Asgard to stop Hela’s dark ambitions.

My favorite aspect of Thor: Ragnarok is its humor. In previous Thor movies, things were a little too serious for my taste. This new movie features plenty of fun. Thor gets into plenty of ludicrous situations. Tom Hiddleston returns as Loki. And, expect some surprises from the twisty plot. GRADE: A

I found Thor very entertaining. I could have done without Tessa Thompson who seemed to be channeling her inner Michele Rodriquez. I found her unattractive and untalented.

I’m sure we’ll be seeing this, though the earlier Thor movies were not my favorites (except for Loki, of course).

I am attracted to this but Phil will not want to see it and Kevin already did. Not a movie to see alone probably.

Rick, Thor has a BAD sister, cunningly played by Cate Blanchett. Loki is still causing chaos! This movie would tickle your Funny Bone.

Steve, I have the same problem with Christie. Once I know whodunit, I can’t reread the book. Same with the movie versions. Maybe they will change the ending…

It’s true with Ackroyd and Orient Express, but I can’t remember the culprit in all the books, so most of the time I can re-read or watch a movie (if it’s a good one).

I read the book of course and saw the “old” version of the movie – didn’t know there was a new one though …

One of the “good” things about getting old is that I forgot the details of the conclusion – but watching it would probably bring them back, so a no for me.

I’ve heard there is a difference to the ending of Orient express, not sure what it is or if it is a real thing
