Police detective Jeff Prentiss is having a Very Bad Day at the start of Truth Always Kills. Prentiss’s wife has just left him and takes his daughter with her. Simultaneously, two murder victims are discovered–one a noted burglar and the other a powerful politician–which leads Prentiss to investigate a possible connection. That investigation takes Prentiss to a private porno web site called Little Y. And that leads to… As you can see, Ollerman’s novel is a straight-ahead thrill ride. One dramatic scene powers the next as the plot accelerates. If you’re looking for a fast-paced crime novel, here it is. GRADE: B
Sounds really great – thansk George, another series for me to sample 🙂
Sergio, I’m always pleased with STARK HOUSE publications!
I liked this one a lot, too.
Bill, TRUTH ALWAYS KILLS displays Ollerman’s promise as thriller writer.
Is there a PI or police detective whose wife has not left him? Poor guys.
Patti, PI and police detective lifestyles are not conducive to long-term relationships.
I knew the name was familiar. It was as editor of PAPERBACK CONFIDENTIAL by Brian Ritt.
This one does sound good but I’m a little backed up at the moment (understatement).
Try drinking some prune juice, Jeff. works for me.
Jeff, if you like Florida crime novels as much as I do, you’ll enjoy TRUTH ALWAYS KILLS.
Is Rick Ollerman a big vintage PB collector? If so, I remember blessing him for buying so many of my “oldies” at Albany.
Maggie, I think you’re right.
I find books described as “thriller ” are all over the place in actual type: straight mystery, police procedural, serial killer, spy story, and so on. I don’t even know what’s meant by the term anymore.
Rick, I consider any book that’s a fast-paced story a thriller. Too many crime novels today are long and convoluted. TRUTH ALWAYS KILLS was a quick read!
Hey, Maggie,
Yes, it’s me….
You havn’t started a rebate program yet, have you?

Rick, as you can tell, I enjoyed your book. Keep up the good work!
George, I really appreciate the time you took to read the book and write about it. Happy Holidays (even without snow)….
Rick, you and STARK HOUSE make a great partnership! I wish you much success with TRUTH ALWAYS KILLS!
Rick Sadly, I’m out of the business Albany was my last hurrah Nice to hear from you. Look fwd to seeing you in NOLA, where I may help Mystery Mike again
And I hear Mystery Mike may be getting another lot of vintage paperbacks in time for New Orleans. See, this is why I can’t bring my wife–she’ll see what I spend ahead of time. After it’s done, really, what can she say?
