I knew the name was familiar. It was as editor of PAPERBACK CONFIDENTIAL by Brian Ritt.

This one does sound good but I’m a little backed up at the moment (understatement).

Is Rick Ollerman a big vintage PB collector? If so, I remember blessing him for buying so many of my “oldies” at Albany.

I find books described as “thriller ” are all over the place in actual type: straight mystery, police procedural, serial killer, spy story, and so on. I don’t even know what’s meant by the term anymore.

Rick, I consider any book that’s a fast-paced story a thriller. Too many crime novels today are long and convoluted. TRUTH ALWAYS KILLS was a quick read!

And I hear Mystery Mike may be getting another lot of vintage paperbacks in time for New Orleans. See, this is why I can’t bring my wife–she’ll see what I spend ahead of time. After it’s done, really, what can she say?
