WINLESS?

The only NFL team who hasn’t won a game this season is the lowly Buffalo Bills. Die-hard fans are weeping with frustration as the Bills have come close to winning the last three weeks (two overtime games!) but found a way to lose. A dreadful 0-8 record. But today, the Bills play the Detroit Lions whose quarterback is injured and will not play. Could this be the game that goes into the WIN column? Or will loyal Bills fans find their team remains winless. This game, astonishingly, is not a sell-out so I’ll have to listen to the radio coverage. Yes, I’m aware the game is available online and, if I was really motivated, being shown in bars across the border in Canada. But, I’ll just tough it out and listen to the Voice of the Bills, John Murphy, call the game. Go, Bills!

Every week it seems the Bills will finally break through, only to lose again by 3 points.

Let’s hope today is the day!

I hope the Bills win for their long-suffering, loyal fans, Jeff. This is a Lost Season, but hopefully something (like a great Draft pick) can be salvaged from the wreckage.

You need to buy a Blu-ray player, Art. BODY HEAT is fabulous in Hi-Def! Sam’s Club had a SONY Blu-ray player for $129 last time I was there.

Last I heard, Buffalo was leading. George, if they do indeed win, I’ll expect an invite to your Bills Super Bowl party.

Congratulations, George. They held on. Sad that you didn’t get to see it.

Just saw the Jets escape with another overtime win; can’t believe the Browns tossed that one away without at least getting a tie.

The Bills prevail! I’m making Buffalo Wings for dinner to celebrate on your behalf! Now having at last thrown off the mantle of futility and sadsackdom, the valiant Bills begin their inevitable march to the Superbowl. Of course, once they get there . . .

Good thing I didn’t have a bet down. I’m glad the Bills finally got in the win column. They’re also a pretty good barbershop quartet.

They tried pretty hard to lose, but managed to find a way to get the win. Good for them. Still, I think they will get the first choice in the draft, unless they trade it, and Spiller is now injured…

Spiller has a ham-string injury, Rick. He’ll be out for weeks. Most Bills fans want the Bills to get the First Pick in the Draft. They need to completely rebuild.
