BUFFALO BILLS VS. GREEN BAY PACKERS

The Buffalo Bills shocked the sports world with their 27-6 beatdown of the Minnesota Vikings last week despite being 17-point underdogs. This week, the Bills travel to the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field to take on Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. The Bills are 10-point underdogs. One reason for that point spread might be the fact that the Bills have never won in Green Bay. I’m looking for a close game today. How will your favorite NFL team do today?

The Magic 8 Ball says…who knows? The Giants woke up in Houston last week, but can their improving defense stop Drew Brees and the Saint from putting up their usual big numbers this afternoon, and can they score enough (30? – haven’t done that in a long, long time) to beat them?

I won’t find out right away as we have a matinee of COME FROM AWAY at 3:00, so will miss the 4:25 kickoff and much of the game.

Rick, the Bills have defeated the Packers in Milwaukee. Back in the 1970s and 1980s, Green Bay played four home games in Green Bay and four home games in Milwaukee. Later, Lambeau Field was upgraded and now Green Bay plays all their home games there.

As Jeff already noted, the 2-1 Saints travel to the Meadowlands to take on the 1-2 Giants. We know the Saints have the offense, but their defense has been as holey as Swiss cheese, so only time will tell. We are, however, jazzed about LSU’s victory last night, giving them a 5-0 record and tying them with Alabama for first place.

Deb, congratulations on the big LSU win! The WALL STREET JOURNAL wrote that this weekend will feature all four First Round QB rookies–Mayfield, Darnold, Allen, and Rosen–starting for their teams. That’s the first time in NFL history that’s happened!
