MOANA [3D]

The Big Attraction of Disney’s latest animated feature, Moana, is the music of Lin-Manuel Miranda of Hamilton fame. All the songs on the soundtrack are either written or co-written by Miranda. This story of a young girl named Moana (voiced by Auli’i Cravalho) who goes on a quest to save her people and their island is vintage Disney plotting. Moana finds demi-god, Maui (voiced by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) and he reluctantly agrees to help her. If you’re a fan of Disney animated features, you’ll enjoy Moana. GRADE: B+

Bob, Diane and I saw MOANA in a Regal Theater with three other people: a young couple and a woman in her 70s. It was like a Private Showing!

Not my cup of tea. I did get tickets to see Willie Nile next month. I’ve seen him several times before. He is from your neck of the woods so I just thought I’d mention it.

It’ll probably be a disney channel for me. It sounds good, but there are NO theaters here not in a shopping center, and parking is already getting tight.

I’m looking forward to LALA land and Star Wars

Going to see Manchester By the Sea Monday or Tuesday. Have no interest in Jackie. I just think of her as that ex first lady who married a troll just because he was rich.

Steve, the WALL STREET JOURNAL movie reviewer shares your view. But he really liked Natalie Portman’s portrayal of the First Lady. My wife want to see the movie so you’ll see my review on this blog whenever we get around to it.
