SUPER WILD CARD WEEKEND, PART II

Ravens (11-5) at Titans (11-5), 1:05 p.m. ET at Nissan Stadium, Nashville; ESPN and ABC could be the most physical game of the Playoffs. Plenty of running and hard-nose football in this one. The Ravens are favored by 3 1/2 points and I hope they win.

Bears (8-8) at Saints (12-4), 4:40 p.m. ET at Mercedes-Benz Superdome, New Orleans; CBS, Nickelodeon, Amazon Prime Video should be a breeze (or Brees) for the Saints who are favored by 10 points. Go Saints!

Browns (11-5) at Steelers (12-4), 8:15 p.m. ET at Heinz Field, Pittsburgh; NBC, looks like a laugher as the Browns struggle to field a team that’s Covid-19-free. The Steelers are favored by 6 points, but they should win by more. Who do you think will win these games?

The Ravens-Titans is definitely the best game of the day. I was surprised the Bucs had so much trouble with Washington. I was not shocked that the Rams beat Seattle, though I was surprised at how poorly the Seahawks played.

I never bet on games, but I’d have to go with Baltimore, New Orleans (Go, Saints!) and Pittsburgh, if pushed to make a choice.

If it works out that way, it would be Baltimore at Kansas City and Pittsburgh at Buffalo next weekend. Also, the Rams at Green Bay and Tampa Bay at New Orleans.

I was actually surprised by the Seahawks’ loss and the lethargic way they played. I figured the Bucs would win, but I didn’t think they’d have trouble doing it. The Bills game surprised me. I was biting my nails toward the end…the Bills really fought for that win, literally down to the last few seconds.

Naturally, I’m rooting for the Saints. I’m not sure if either Kamara or Murray has been released from covid quarantine yet, but the Saints had a pretty good running game going last week, even without them. If the Saints win today, the Bucs will be here next week—making it the third Brees-Brady matchup this season. But the Saints have got to knock out the Bears first. Geaux Saints!!

Deb, the Indianapolis Colts executed a great Game Plan against the Bills. A couple of plays could have reversed the result–missed field goal, missed pass in the End Zone, the fumble that wasn’t called. ESPN says that Kamara will play. The last time I saw him, he scored SIX TDs in the game! Go Saints!

I was torn about the bills/colts, as Rivers is a favorite. I’ve heard talk he might be a possibility for the rams, which would be a slap in the face to the despicable Spanos family.

I’m abivalent about most of todays games, though I do want the saints to win. My mom used to like brees and at times during the games would comment on the cool breeze on the field.

My fav teams are the Chiefs and Packers – followed by Saints. I always root for the Rams just because I want the chargers to fail and perhaps cost the spanos family a ton of money. The stadium is being torn down, and a smaller one is to be built, so San Diego will never have an NFL team again

I think it’s a shame they had a season this year. There have been so many athletes and staff come down with the virus, who knows what health issues they may face in the future because of it.

Maggie, this could be Drew Brees’s last season (those 11 broken ribs might persuade him to hang up his cleats). Philip Rivers might choose to retire, too, or sign another one-year contract with some NFL team. Like you, I’m amazed that the NFL managed to keep the 2020 season going despite the Covid-19 breakouts. Hopefully, the vaccine will allow fans in the stands next Fall.

Jeff, congratulations on the Ravens’ impressive win over the Titans. Yes, the Buffalo Bills will need to bring their A game on Saturday. I was hoping we’d be playing the Steelers–who we defeated a few weeks ago–instead of the red-hot Ravens.
