Talley brings together all the elements I like: Miskatonic University, a forbidden book, a quest to learn secrets of the Cthulhu Mythos, and dark menaces. If you’re looking for a quick, creepy read you’ll find it in That Which Should Not Be I like the threatening cover on this book, too! GRADE: B

I wonder how many of the people who are reading these “new” Lovecraftian books have read the original stuff.
Rick, I’ve read all those Lovecraft books including THE NEW ANNOTATED LOVECRAFT (highly recommended). But, like most pastiches, there are very few very good ones.
